Changelog

What's new in Taad, newest first.

New features and fixes in Taad, on the web and in the apps for Windows and Linux, newest first. The computer apps update themselves. Changes to the API are in the API changelog.

23 October 2026

  • Folders. Sort your recordings into folders, with folders inside them, one level deep. A recording can be in several. Choose Add to folder on a recording, or on a selection in Recordings, and Taad offers to add the ones like it from then on: recorded at the same place, from the same calendar series, or imported. Not in a folder, on Recordings, shows what's left to sort.

22 October 2026

  • Live words in the computer apps, as on the web: the transcript appears as people speak, with who is speaking, the key points so far and the plans heard.
  • Ask while recording answers about the recording you're in, and a chat about a recording shows which one it belongs to.
  • Name a voice while recording, and the notes are written with that name. Name one after you finish, and the name goes straight into the notes, the summary and the to-dos.
  • Your notes while recording are listed on the recording and saved as you go, and Finish answers a click anywhere on the red pill.
  • Record more in the computer apps: open a finished recording and carry on with it, the clock going on from where it ended.
  • What to record: before a recording starts in the computer apps, choose your microphone alone, or your microphone and everything the computer plays.
  • Files in a recording's ask box: attach PDF, Word, text and Markdown files of up to about 600 pages.
  • The Notes tab shows Taad's detailed notes beside your own.
  • Rename a recording from its More menu or the sidebar.
  • The calendar: events the assistant adds fill their time, and a time can be typed or picked from a list.
  • The Taad API, for your own code: make keys and add money in Settings › Developers. See the API docs.
  • These docs, at docs.taad.app, under Help on the website.

20 October 2026

  • Recipes: run a built-in recipe, or save your own, for one recording or across your recordings, from any ask box and in Settings › Recipes.
  • Change notes by asking: ask the assistant to shorten or change a recording's notes, then Confirm the new version or Undo.
  • Answers show where things were said: each claim about a recording ends with a time that plays that moment.
  • Files in a chat: a chat reads attached PDF, Word, text and Markdown files.
  • Google Calendar and Outlook: connect them to see their events in Taad and send yours back. See Connect your calendar.
  • A question on a recording is answered in the page, and Rewrite can write the summary about one thing. See A summary's focus.
  • Settings › Network shows how much the app sends and receives on this device.

19 October 2026

  • Event reminders: give an event up to five alerts, from when it starts to a week before or a time of your own, and travel time when it has a place. They arrive in Taad's inbox; turn them off in Settings › Notifications.
  • Record an online meeting in any browser: on the web, record a tab's sound, and mute your microphone or share or stop a tab in the middle of a recording.
  • The calendar opens without a blink, marks today, and its events fill their hours.
  • Windows and Linux: the window has Taad's own buttons to minimize, maximize and close it.
  • Persian and Arabic: a summary's bullets stand on the right, and a recording's words sit centred beside the side panel.

18 October 2026

  • Taad for Windows and Linux, beside the web. See Install Taad.
  • Taad in 13 languages, everywhere: the app, the welcome and sign-in.
  • Live words on the web: the transcript as people speak, by speaker, with the key points so far and who is speaking.
  • Chats: Home turns into the chat it began, chats are saved, and the Chats page finds them again.
  • Share and Export: share a link to a recording, or export it. See Share and export.
  • Note templates: a layout for each kind of recording, your own or your workspace's, and Rewrite under a summary, with Undo.
  • Record more, add a file, merge: record more into a recording, add a recording from a file, merge recordings and undo it, and delete several at once from Select.
  • Playback on a timeline: skip, change the speed, and play from any turn of the transcript.
  • Speakers: name voices, mark yours, join or part voices, and play ten seconds of a voice. See Speakers.
  • Events and to-dos heard in a recording reach your calendar and your to-dos, with clashes named. See To-dos and events.
  • Places show as coloured badges.
  • A follow-up email drafted from a recording's notes, to edit, copy or send to yourself.
  • Rate an answer: copy, share, like or dislike it, and say what was wrong.
  • Passkeys: sign in on the web with your fingerprint or face.
  • Taad in your AI: the connector for Claude and ChatGPT. See Taad in your AI.
