Changelog

What changed in the Taad API, newest first.

Changes to the API at https://api.taad.app/v1, newest first. /v1 only grows: new calls, fields and events arrive without breaking your code, so ignore what you don't know (Versions). Changes to Taad's apps are in the Help Center's changelog.

  • Folders. GET /v1/folders lists the folders you sort your recordings into. A recording carries its folders, GET /v1/recordings and search take a folder_id (its subfolders included; none for recordings in no folder), and filing a recording into or out of a folder sends recording.updated. A folder is seen by its maker only for now, so a personal key lists its maker's folders in Personal; an organization's key or a test key lists none. See List folders.
  • A recording's audio. GET /v1/recordings/{id}/audio lists its parts in play order, and GET /v1/recordings/{id}/audio/{part} downloads one, as it was recorded or sent, decrypted as it streams out. It needs the audio:read scope, which no preset includes: choose it by name when you make the key. At most 60 downloads an hour per account. See List a recording's audio.
  • Who recorded it. Recordings carry recorded_by, and GET /v1/recordings?recorded_by= takes a usr_ id or an email address: with an organization's key, one member's recordings.
  • Three new events: export.ready and export.failed for PDF exports, and key.expiring, a week before a key stops working (we email you too). Every event's shape is in the OpenAPI file. See Webhooks.
  • A second rate limit. Beside 300 requests a minute (600 for an organization), at most 25 in any one second (50 for an organization), and 30 paid calls a minute. See Rate limits.
  • An organization's keys belong to the organization, and keep working when whoever made them is no longer an owner. Settings › Developers shows who made each one, and asks you to roll a key whose maker has left.
  • New prices: sending a transcript instead of audio is $0.50 per started hour of talk, rewriting a recording's notes $0.20, a question about one recording $0.10 and a question across recordings $0.25. Sending audio stays $0.90 an hour. A call keeps the price it started with, and GET /v1/prices always has the current list. See Paying for the API.

  • The Taad API. Your recordings, transcripts, notes, speakers, to-dos and calendar events, search, exports and questions, from your own code, and audio sent in to be transcribed and written up. Start with Your first call.
  • Keys made in Taad, in Settings › Developers: personal or an organization's, live (taad_) or test (taadtest_), with scopes, an expiry and a weekly spending cap. See Keys.
  • A sandbox for test keys: sample recordings, instant fixed results, never charged. See Sandbox.
  • Webhooks, signed with Standard Webhooks, for new and changed recordings, to-dos, calendar events and your wallet. See Webhooks.
  • The API wallet, prepaid in US dollars, beside your plan's minutes. See Your API wallet.
  • The reference for every call, and the same as an OpenAPI file at /openapi.json.
