Recording consent
Tell people you're recording. It's the law in many places, and it's polite everywhere.
Taad doesn't join your calls, so nobody sees a bot arrive. That makes it more important, not less, that people know they're being recorded.
What we ask of you
- Say so at the start. "I'm recording this so I can take notes" is enough for most meetings.
- Ask when it matters. For interviews, calls with customers, or anything personal, ask, and don't record if someone says no.
- Follow the rules where you are. Recording laws differ from country to country, and sometimes from one region to the next: in some places one person's consent is enough, in others everyone's is needed.
In an organization
Your organization may have its own rules about recording meetings. Check them before you record at work.
Not legal advice
This page is a reminder, not legal advice. If you're unsure what applies to you, ask someone who knows the law where you are.
