# Recording consent (/legal/recording-consent)

Taad doesn't join your calls, so nobody sees a bot arrive. That makes it more important, not less, that people know they're being recorded.

## What we ask of you [#what-we-ask-of-you]

- **Say so at the start.** "I'm recording this so I can take notes" is enough for most meetings.
- **Ask when it matters.** For interviews, calls with customers, or anything personal, ask, and don't record if someone says no.
- **Follow the rules where you are.** Recording laws differ from country to country, and sometimes from one region to the next: in some places one person's consent is enough, in others everyone's is needed.

## In an organization [#in-an-organization]

Your organization may have its own rules about recording meetings. Check them before you record at work.
