# Search and ask (/help-center/notes-and-ai/search-and-ask)

Everything you've recorded is searchable, and you can ask questions across all of it.

## Search [#search]

Open **Search** and type what you're looking for. Choose how it looks:

- **By meaning**: finds what was meant, even in other words. "When is the design review?" finds "we moved it to Tuesday".
- **Exact words**: finds exactly what was said.

Each result shows the recording and the moment; play it to hear the line.

## Ask [#ask]

Type a question in the ask box on Home ("What did we decide about the launch?") and the assistant reads your recordings, calendar and to-dos, and answers with the moments it found. Open a recording to ask about that one alone.
