# Import a file (/help-center/audio-recording/import-files)

Already recorded the meeting somewhere else? Import the file and Taad gives you the same transcript, speakers, summary and to-dos as if you'd recorded it here.

## What you can import [#what-you-can-import]

- **Audio files**
- **Video files** (Taad uses the sound)
- **Subtitles**: SRT and VTT

## How [#how]

1. Choose **Import a recording**, or **Add a recording** in a recording's side panel.
2. Pick the file.
3. Taad reads it and writes the notes; you'll find it with your other recordings.
